EVO 2020 Announced!

Fighting game esports enthusiasts may have realized a tickling sensation fondling the back of their necks due to the recent announcements concerning the EVO Championship Series 2020 – the premier tournament, acting as the highlight for the multiple scenes in the complicated genre, has finally revealed itself in its near entirety. Below are all the details pertaining to everything we know so far.

For those unaware, EVO offers itself up as an all-encompassing esports events with regards to fighting games; including the prominent franchises of Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Super Smash Bros. and any others you can think of, bearing in mind their most recent edition and platform upon which the title will be played out competitively. Thrilling fans of each respective scene; a grand mainstage will be shared by simultaneous competition across multiple streams and broadcasts – one might consider it a rather overwhelming feeding of information at first glance. Undoubtedly, however, it’s an incredibly well-managed event which has always found a way to exceedingly satisfy the community – also acting as an opportunity for competitors to cement themselves and their positions across the hierarchy of the esports title.

Bearing the venue in mind, competitors and others attending the event will have exclusive access to local hotels and other forms of over-night stay. I’m afraid the details end here; beyond time and place; a vague idea of the titles involved is there, but nothing has been confirmed yet in this regard.
