The Champions Cup Finals – One Week Away!

CHRISTMAS COMING A FEW DAYS EARLY

That’s it – only seven days until the Champions Cup Finals finally takes place, here on Maltese soil, following months of planning and deliberation from ourselves, the organizers, the competition through qualifiers and the community in its numbing anticipation. The highest level of competitive CS:GO is literally going to be around the corner, with 8 of the best teams in the world – the Eden Esports Champions Cup Finals is your very own Christmas present, and it’s coming a little early too.

Kicking off on the 19th of December, a week from now, and running until the 22nd, the Champions Cup Finals will house a whopping prize pool of $300,000 for the 8 teams which have made it to this point. Let’s take a closer look at the rosters involved in the event:

Invited Teams:

  • ENCE
  • FURIA Esports
  • G2 Esports

European Champions Cup:

  • BIG
  • Hard Legion Esports
  • Movistar Riders
  • Team Spirit

Asian Champions Cup:

  • TYLOO

It’s an impressive array of rosters, each one earning their spot to compete within the traditional format, consisting of a Group Stage and Playoffs. The Group Stage will include two double-elimination format groups where initial matches are Bo1 and subsequent ones are Bo3, allowing the top two from each group to move onwards. This will all take place on the 19th and 20th of December. Following this stage, Playoffs will then round off the event through a Single-Elimination bracket, each match being Bo3, running up to the 22nd of December. The exact schedule of each game is soon to be disclosed, so do stay tuned for that soon – what is for certain is that all of them will be taking place at our venue, the InterContinental Arena Conference Centre in St.Julian’s.

Tickets for the event have been available for purchase since the 25th of November and they’ve been selling fast. The first two days, as we revealed in an earlier post, will be completely available to all viewers for no extra cost, however day passes will be required to view the stage matches taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Individually, a day pass ticket will cost you €20, whereas a weekend pace bundles the two at a reduced price of €30. To purchase your ticket before it’s too late – click here.

Of course, broadcasts will be available in multiple languages on our very own Twitch channel for everyone to enjoy around the world!

Apart from that, what else can be said? It’s going to be one hell of an event for the entire CS:GO community right here in Malta! Feel free to come by and immerse yourself in the competition, possibly having the chance to meet the competitors and definitely lending a few cheers.
